While creating this gallery invitation I l looked at the numbers 2017. What did they call out to be? Imagining the transformation was fun! Making it come to life was more fun!

Sometimes stock fonts just won't do and you get the itch to design one. Chasma was inspired by the lines in the earth as well as gemstones.

Celtic style Illuminated Manuscripts have a certain whimsical feel to them. How can it be recreated to give the feeling of warmth and love? Using acrylic paints and colors familiar to the era helped to give a warm yet regal feel. Wrapping the lettering in vines with the top crossing and coming together represents two long lost lovers finally able to be united. The E steadily balanced on the steam represents the delicate balance of the dance of love. To recreate the look of parchment paper colors were blended and feathered brushstrokes were added.

Love is a balancing act just like this design. Letters were placed to represent the quote and the quote is represented by the letters.
